We are all nationally certified!
At the Center for the Healing Arts we encourage people to experience massage from the unique perspective of each therapist. All therapists are graduates of a state licensed school, and members of a professional organization.
Charlotte (Owner): 1992 graduate from Health Enrichment Massage school. 2000 hours of advanced studies in Hawaiian Lomi- Lomi massage, Hawaiian culture, and esoteric healing aspects of massage based on the Hawaiian teachings. Charlotte is nationally certified in massage, Member of the International Massage Association. She is also a certified reflexologist, developer of Irwin’s Reflexology Certification program and instructor of Dr. Manzanares Reflexlogic method. Charlotte is also a business coach for Holistic Health Businesses and the author of Massage Your Business, with Purpose, Passion and Perseverance. Christopher: A graduate of Michigan Myomassology Institute. Chris loves to solve problem area with clinical approaches and pressure points. Chris is a professional member of AMBP.
Melanie: A graduate of Baker college massage program, nationally certified, and a professional member of AMBP. Melanie also is an instructor for Guardian Massage school and specializes in Bonnie Prudens trigger point therapy in her massage work.
Stacy: Is a 2004 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute, nationally certified and a professional member of AMTA. Stacy has lot of experience working with closed head injuries in her prior job and specializes in therapeutic and relaxation massage.
Lori: 1999 graduate from Irene’s Mysomassology Institute, nationally certified. Lori has a special interest in pregnancy massage, and deep tissue work. Certified Professional Reflexologist. Lori also passed the written test for the National Certification for Reflexology and is a certified instructor for Irwin’s Reflexology course using Dr. Manzanares method. She is also a member of AMBP. Lori specialty is combining relfexology and massage in a one and a half hour session.
Paulette: 1991 graduate of Cosmetology, and state licensed esthetician, and 1999 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute. She is city licensed and a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She is also a certified reflexologist. In addition to massage and deep tissue work, specializes in skin care and pedicures.
Gosia: 1999 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology, nationally certified, city licensed. She is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Goscia specializes in deep tissue and myofascia release.
Shannon: 1999 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute. Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and city licensed. . Her special interest is in deep tissue massage. She is a professional member of AMTA.
Mary: 1999 Graduate of New York State College for Holistic Medicine, New York State Licensed massage therapist, and physical therapy training. Mary is nationally certified, city licensed and a certified reflexologist.. She also specializes in pregnancy massage and doula support and is an instructor for Guardian Massage School. She is a professional member of AMTA.
Leigha: State licensed esthetician, and 2005 graduate of Guardian Massage School. Leah is also a certified reflexologist and city licensed massage therapist. Leigha specializes in skin care, pedicures and spa body treatments and scrubs, plus therapeutic and relaxation massage. Leigha is always researching the latest in skin care techniques and products.
Ian: A Massage therapist attending Wayne State University, studying to be a naturopathic doctor. Ian is a professional member of ABMP and a graduate of Flint School of Therapeutic Massage and is nationally certified and city licensed. He is available for relaxation, therapeutic and deep tissue massage. Ian also specializes in Tai Massage.
Stefanie: A graduate of Alternative Healing Massage School, nationally certified and city licensed. She is a professional member of ABMP, a professional association of bodyworkers. Stephanie specializes in relaxation, therapeutic and deep tissue massage.
Emily: A 2008 graduate of Carnegie Massage School. Emily is available for relaxation and therapeutic massage on Sundays. Emily is a professional member of AMBP.
Gina: A 2005 graduate of Irenes Myomassology Institute, nationally certified massage therapist and professional member of AMBP. Gina is available for relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue, reflexology. pregnancy and aromatherapy massage.
Channa: A 2007 graduate of Carnegie Institute. She specializes in relaxation and therapeutic massage A member of the AMBP.
Jennifer is our office manager and available during the day Monday through Friday to answer any questions. Rita, Page and Alex our evening receptionists are also available to help you with all your appointments and questions.
All the therapists are licensed by the City of Sterling Heights ordinance, verifying their education and credentials as professional massage therapists, they are nationally certified or in process of obtaining certification. They are independent contractors and their schedules may vary. Please check with the center for availability of service.
