Center for the

Healing Arts Staff

At the Center for the Healing Arts we encourage people to experience massage from the unique perspective of each therapist. All therapists are graduates of a state licensed school, and members of a professional organization, and nationally certified or working toward it, plus licensed by the City of Sterling Heights ordinance, verifying their education and credentials as professional massage therapists. They are independent contractors and their schedules may vary. Please check with the center for availability of service.

Our Administration staff:
	Jennifer is our office manager and available during the day Monday through Friday to answer any questions or book appointments. Rita,and Kelly are our evening receptionists are also available to help you with all your appointments and questions.

	Charlotte Irwin (Owner): 1992 graduate from Health Enrichment Massage school. She has over 2000 hours of advanced studies in Hawaiian Lomi- Lomi massage, Hawaiian culture, and Esoteric healing. Charlotte is nationally certified in massage, city licensed and a member of AMPB. She is also a certified reflexologist, developer of Irwin’s Heart and Sole Reflexology Certification program. Charlotte is also a business coach for Holistic Health Businesses and the author of Massage Your Business, with Purpose, Passion and Perseverance. Her business web site is www.massageyourbusiness.com. She is also the director of Guardian Massage School, a state licensed 750 hour massage and reflexology program. Charlotte is available on Thursdays for massage.
	Lori: 1999 graduate from Irene’s Mysomassology Institute, nationally certified and city licensed. Lori has a special interest in pregnancy massage, and deep tissue work. Certified Professional Reflexologist, Lori also passed the written test for the National Certification for Reflexology and is a certified instructor for Irwin’s Reflexology course. She is also a member of AMBP. Lori's specialty is combining relfexology and massage in a 90 minute session.
	Gosia: 1999 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology, nationally certified, city licensed. She is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Goscia specializes in deep tissue and myofascia release.
	Christopher: 2004 graduate of Michigan Myomassology Institute, nationally certified and city licensed. Christopher is a professional member of AMBP. christopher speciality is deep tissue work, problem solving using clinical approach to release muscle restrictions.
	Shannon: 1999 graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute. Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and city licensed. She is a professional member of AMTA. Shannon's specialty is deep tissue massage.
	Mary: 1999 Graduate of New York State College for Holistic Medicine, New York State Licensed massage therapist, and physical therapy training. Mary is nationally certified, city licensed and a certified reflexologist. She is a professional member of AMBP. Mary is an instructor for Guardian Massage school and also specializes in pragnency massage and doula support.
	Debbie. A state licensed esthetician, Debbie specializes in all levels of and skin care, pedicures and spa body treatments and scrubs. Debbie is always researching the latest in skin care techniques and products bringing the highest quality of organic products to skin care clients.
	Stefanie: Has a combination of over 1000 hours of massage education as a graduate of Alternative Healing Massage School, and 2007 Guardian Massage school, She is Nationally Certified and City licensed. She is a professional member of ABMP, a professional association of bodyworkers. Stefanie specializes in therapeutic massage focusing on the back, neck and shoulders. Stefanie also enjoys relaxation, prenatal, aromatherapy and deep tissue massage and is also a Certified reflexologists.
	Vince Anthony: Hold’s a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Windsor. For 18 years, he has helped hundreds of people in Canada and the US. He is a Licensed Psychotherapist, a Master of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and Certified Hypnotherapist. Certified as a Reflexologist, he is the developer of Hypno-Reflexology. With a passion for health and nutrition, he is also a certified Nutrametrix Consultant who implements customized wellness solutions with individuals, groups and in Doctor’s offices. He integrates brain science, psychology, nutrition and reflexology to help people live happier and healthier lives.
	Carla: 2004 Graduate of Michigan School of Myomassology. Carla is a National Certified Massage Therapist and member of ABMP. She specializes in therapeutic and deep tissue massage.
	Cynthia: A graduate of 1990 Health Enrichment, nationally certified and a professional member of AMTA. Cynthia developed The Schankin System (TSS) is a way to balance muscle function that reduces core body stressors as well as recurring muscular and soft tissue tensions. Created by Cynthia Ann Schankin in 1990’s, TSS uses a blend of Massage Therapy and Kinesiology (Muscle Testing) concepts to address a muscle weakness pattern response (MWPR). This MWPR is often a pattern that is set up from a previous injury or over use symptoms. Tensions patterns and client goals set the scheduling. (2-4 weeks). Pressure varies with client needs and some active holding of limbs (muscle testing) are used throughout the session. The outcome is a relaxing relief of muscle and soft tissue tensions while increasing muscular function and strength so you can do more of what you love to do.
	Tammy: A 1995 graduate of Michigan Myomassology Institute and nationally certified therapist and ity licensed. She is a professional member of AMBP. Tammy specializes in relaxation and therapeutic massage.



	Kim: A 2004 graduate of Oakland Community College Massage Therapy Progrtam. She has been doing massage for 7 years. A professional member of the AMBP. Kim loves to do relaxation massage, and believes in the healing power of touch through massage.

	Hillary: Nationally Certified and professional member of AMBP, she relocated to Michigan from Texas, with more than 10 years of massage experience. Hilliary attended Austin School of Massage Therapy and continued her education at Intellitec Medical Institure adding another 1250 hours to her education. Hillary specializes in deep tissue work and incorporates nuero muscular therapy into her practice to help people allieviate pain. She also practices swedish and prenatal massage therapy
	Suzanne is a state licensed esthetician. Her facials are incredibly relaxing She attended Detroit college of beauty and is well educated in skin care and techniques and can recommend products that can meet your specific skin care type.
	Robert Aurebach,Advanced Rolf Structural Integration practitioner, (AKA rolfing) is bodywork known for its ability to dramatically improve alignment.
