Excerpt from Soul of Plants by Ramakant Hariaka

The souls of plants can guide a person back to the feeling and understanding of who they area and their relationship to this earth and God".

It is also my findings that as much life force or soul is in the oil that can determine ability for soul of plant to communicate and bless the person. This is an art form to help the plant release their soul into the oil. Not only is the apparatus and parameters for distillation important but equally important the person distilling must have a feeling and communication with the plants soul. If this trust is established I feel the plants will yield amounts of life force based on this relationship.

What exactly is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the study of essential oils. Aroma means to treat with aroma through inhalation. Essential Oils are subtle, volatile liquids distilled from plants, trees, flowers, shrubs, seeds. They carry nutrients to the cells of the body. The chemicals that have been extracted are used for healing the body, mind and spirit. In ancient times essential oils were considered more valuable than gold. Essential oils are referenced over and over again in the Bible as oils used to help heal the sick. Oils like Bergamot, Cassia, Frankincense, and Myrrh are recorded numerous times to help fight disease.
Common and most useful oils to have on have are:

Lavender: (Lavandula angustifolia) Its main ingredients are Linalyl acetate and Linalool with Geraniol. It is one of the most adulterated oils on the market so check the label to be sure it is pure Lavender. It is sedative, calming, muscle relaxant, heal burns. Oils that smell like lavender may be in fact be a hybrid called Lavadin so read the label carefully.

Eucalyptus: (E. Globus) 75% Cineol, 12% Pinene. It has strong expectorant properties, it makes mucous watery. Great for colds and flu and to help manage sinus congestion.

Melaleuca: (Melaleuca alternifolia) Tea tree oil. Contains up to 40% Terpinene. This oil possesses a high content of germicidal properties. Immune Stimulate, anti-infectious, antibacterial and excellent for feet or nail fungus.

Aromatherapy:
For essential oils to work medicinally, they must be 100% grade A pure essential. The safest way to use essential oils is to add it to a carrier oil like sunflower, apricot, almond. Both can be purchased at the Center for the Healing Arts.
